Hello, I’m Mercedes
A few years ago, as I approached my 30th birthday, I found myself facing a challenge that may feel familiar: wondering whether I was still competitive enough for graduate school. I decided to take the leap and was admitted to the only two universities I applied to: the University of Oxford and the University of Chicago. That experience taught me that outstanding candidates are not defined solely by their age or career history, but by their ability to communicate their experience, ambitions, and potential contribution with clarity and purpose.
I am a Mexican-Spanish professional with more than ten years of experience helping organizations design, implement, and improve strategies to address complex challenges and make better decisions. My career has included roles in leading public and international institutions, including the Council of Advisors to the President, the Ministry of Finance, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank, where strategic thinking, rigorous analysis, and clear communication were essential to delivering impact.
Throughout my career, I have also advised and coached professionals and leaders on strategic decision-making, helping them clarify goals, evaluate opportunities, and communicate their ideas effectively in high-stakes environments. These experiences reinforced my belief that success depends not only on talent and credentials, but also on the ability to articulate a compelling vision and position oneself strategically.
Today, I combine my professional expertise with my own graduate admissions journey to help experienced professionals build competitive applications for top-tier international master's programs. My goal is to help you present your story with clarity, authenticity, and purpose, so admissions committees can recognize your full potential.
